Ana Rivera


Sculptor specialized in pottery techniques using organic materials to produce tridimensional exhibitions of ceramics reflecting a contemporary language. She started her studies at the Old Academy of San Carlos working in Modeling, Drawing of the Human Figure and Artistic Anatomy. Later, she took courses in ceramics at low and high temperatures in México City, Mérida and San Miguel de Allende. She currently lives in this lowland town where her career continues to flourish, her projects mature and she experiments with new materials.


She has exhibited in different art centers in the country as well as in Galleries in México City, Oaxaca, San Miguel de Allende and Querétaro. She has taken courses of lost wax bronze casting at the smelting workshops of La Esmeralda. She also studied paper manufacturing with natural fibers at the Paper Art Workshop of Oaxaca and pigments and natural ink at the same workshop in Etla, Oaxaca. Her artistic experience has made her share with children and youth the knowledge obtained in her studies. She has done it through workshops in art, creativity, modeling and sculpting pottery in the different parts of the country where she has lived.


Her constant work and personal search are shown in her involvement in individual and collective exhibitions throughout the national cultural scene.
